Quality Assurance and Process Visualization (QAPV)

The QAPV software is a web-based application for FMW Friedrich riveting machines and riveting units with measuring system.

It was specially developed for archiving, evaluating and visualising process data of FMW Friedrich machines and units.

The recorded data can be displayed, filtered, exported and archived.

The QAPV can be run directly on a top-hat rail PC in the control cabinet or on a suitable external PC, e.g. in the foreman's office. The data connection to the PLC of the machine(s) is made via an Ethernet network (TCP/IP).

When the data connection of the QAPV software to the PLC is active, the process values determined during machining are read out from the PLC after each production step and stored in an SQL database.

The stored data can be displayed and evaluated from almost any terminal device that is connected to the QAPV computer via an Ethernet network and has an up-to-date Internet browser installed.

Access to the user interface of the QAPV application can be restricted by a configurable user administration.

On the main view, the riveting process values logged by all machines are displayed, statistically processed and graphically represented, provided they correspond to the set filter conditions.
If new data records are received from the connected machine controls that correspond to the current filter conditions, the displays are automatically updated.

The graph shows the logged minimum, actual and maximum values of each axis activated with the statistics buttons. The minimum and maximum limits are plotted as a red curve, the actual values as a green curve.

A statistical summary of occurring process errors is provided by the integrated error statistics.

Archiving of process values:

In order to guarantee the performance of the SQL database even in continuous operation, older data is automatically swapped out by the QAPV software into a file-based database (SQLite). This process runs automatically in the background. The archive files created in this way can be evaluated by the customer himself or viewed by means of an archive viewer due to the open SQLite file format.

The time for archiving and the number of archived data are variable and depend on the utilisation of the SQL database.
