The company Friedrich Maschinen- und Werkzeugbau GmbH, or, more concisely, FMW, was founded in the year 1948 at Remshalden near Stuttgart. The family-run company develops and produces riveting machines, special-purpose machines and electrically-operated presses for the automotive, fittings and electrical industries.

The company's appearance is characterised by modern factory equipment and up-to-date manufacturing facilities. An innovative management, highly qualified engineers and  electronics specialists as well as well-trained technicians and skilled labour with many years  of experience provide a sound basis for a successful corporate history.
